Great day out. Even though it rained and was chilly the guys kept us fully entertained all day and we’re always smiling and helpful. Highly recommend the private tour as we could be flexible with time and spend more at some places taking photos.

Hoa Lu - the ancient capital built in 10th century is beautify. Good to see the way the temple (so called abode of the king) is preserved. Tam coc is amazing! The 90 mnt boat ride is mind blowing. Please don't miss this experience!

We booked through Viator and enjoyed the day for the most part. Duc was our guide and he was good - he made every effort to ensure our comfort. The lunch was okay, not spectacular but certainly fine. The Temple was interesting and the time there was enough without being too long, as sometimes is the case on these kinds of tours. You’ll be approached to buy food and drink; they are persistent but not obnoxious if you’re firm. Expect to tip the rower; we were told by our guide that $2/person was plenty. We skipped the bikes - I was nervous with traffic and no helmet - and instead opted to walk which was just as enjoyable.Less
