Cua Van floating village is exceptional as it is home to generations of fishing families and a lot of the residents never depart. It offers the opportunities to enjoy rowing boat by the local people around the village while watching how the locals live on their floating house.

Ho Ba Ham (Three Tunnel Lake)

Ba Ham Lake is a very beautiful place for kayaking in Ha Long Bay. The lake is about 20km from Tuan Chau Marina International Port. There are three lakes connecting three tunnels together with vertical cliff which offers beautiful scenery and enjoyable kayak. All the lakes has clear water and some is surrounded by limestone and variety of marine flora, fauna and abundant underwater creatures.

Also, we were fortunate to have really friendly "shipmates" which contributed to the good time we had. There were only a total of 6 "cruisers" onboard which made for a good atmosphere as we all got to know each other really well - swopping stories of our travels. The ship was clean and tidy and everything well organised. Special attention was paid to safety when getting on and off the vessel onto the small boat that transferred us to / from shore during the cruise. The food was amazing and plentiful and the drinks reasonable priced - especially when we took advantage of "Happy Hour". We were lucky to have been able to take the cruise as the company had to suspend cruises the following week due to the Coronavirus. Thanks again to Toyan and co who really made the trip so enjoyable. Went with Bhaya Classic. Excellent cabin with balconies but stunning views were on deck. Good food looked after by Son and Nam who also gave us cooking class and Tai Chi demonstration. Visit to cave on way back to Hanoi

There are a bit too many ship/excursion companies but it is beautiful with the Karst stone structures that jut out of the water at various levels, shapes and sizes. The excursion over the 2 days took us on a cave hike to a beach, kayaking into a cave, a fishing village and more. The meals were included on board but for the drinks. They were tasty, and good. We were with people from Germany, France, the USA, and us from Canada. The servers and crew were quite nice. Our tour guide was nice but not consistent in his customer service. Our room was comfy but small and had a ensuite bathroom. I would recommend this cruise.Less

Not usually a cruise family we were pleased we took this one on Ha Long Bay. Absolutely amazing !!! We were on the Gulf of Tonkin where the crew we outstanding who couldn’t stop pampering us. The food was gourmet , top class, the service could not be faulted, the shore excursions just right , the cabins definitively 4 star. Highly recommend this tour.

Bhaya cruise classic 2 offered a fulfilling experience that is a must see. Henry and his staff were extremely friendly and presented themselves in a professional manner. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for this experience. Seeing the caves and kayaking in the bay was extraordinary. Thank you Henry and the team for this once in a life time adventure.

There are a limited number of cabins aboard the Au Co 2 so the total number on board is easily manageable. Tom, the "Cruise" director was an excellent host. The staff, the cabin, the decks and the food were all great overshadowed only by the scenery. Several side trips were included in our short cruise.

Nice and slow cruise for 1,5 day in Halong Bay. Ship was very nice with comfortable cabins, comfortable bed and nice shower. Staff was very nice and the food was excellent. Only downside was all the calling for different activities on the loudspeaker system.

I can not recommend highly enough the two day cruise with Bayah. This was a family trip and it was very special to have the boat all to ourselves. The rooms were very luxurious and there was even a large bath in the bathroom along with a lovely shower. The private balcony in the room was perfect to sit and see the beauty that is Ha long Bay. Phuc was our steward on board and nothing was too much trouble for him.The food was exceptional and plentiful and when the chef discovered that there were two vegetarians with our party we were served the most delicious non- meat meals.The trip to the caves and the kayaking were great fun and we all enjoyed our cookery lesson, making traditional Vietnamese spring rolls.I would recommend booking with Bhaya for your Ha Long Bay experience, their attention to detail is spot on and they are also committed to helping to preserve the natural environment by going plastic free.Less
