This is the most updated information reagarding Visa to Vietnam and Cambodia with Australians and New Zealand passport holders. Please check with us via info@halongtoursbooking.com if you hold a different nationality for most accurate information

VIETNAM EVISA:

This MUST be applied prior to your travelling date. This can be obtained via 3 main ways:

+ Contact the nearest Vietnamese Embassy in your place

+ Apply online via our governmental immigration department official website and follow instructions (https://evisa.gov.vn/)

+ Use our service (Highly recommend): We can assist you to arrange an E-Visa to enter Vietnam all you need to do is to send over your details. The fee is 52 USD/person for single entry for 30 days including the stamp fee in which you do not need to pay any extra at the airport.

- Passport scan (with passport expiry date must be AT LEAST 6 MONTHS VALID from your arrival date in Vietnam)

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival- Airport Pick Up- Transfer To Hotel (N/A)

Upon arrival in Noi Bai International Aiport (HAN) you will be picked up by our driver with a private car and dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi center. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure.

Hanoi Old quarter- Home to a mix of Vietnamese architecture, green spaces, ancient shops and fresh-as-it-gets street food — all of it easily explored on foot. At first look, these 36 streets can feel frenetic. Don't worry: Constant motion is part of the Old Quarter's charm. You'll notice bicycle vendors selling fresh flowers and ripe fruit, old friends gathering for games of checkers, and cooks doing a roaring trade in steaming phở and bún chả.Walking around you can visit Vietnam’s electric capital offers layers of Chinese and French influence, gaggles of scooters and a wealth of world-class restaurants.

08.00-08:30: You will be picked up at assigned point in Hanoi Old Quarter and transferred to Ha Long.

11:30-12:00: Upon arrival at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port, you will enjoy a warm welcome from our cruise staff in the waiting lounge and complete the check-in procedure.

12:30: Upon boarding, our crew welcome you with a refreshing drink and cold towel before checking into your cabin. The vessel leaves Tuan Chau Marina, taking you on an exciting journey to discover the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of some of the most beautiful spots in Ha Long and admire the grandeur of the Bay with thousands of limestone islands while the vessel heads to Surprising Cave.

Enjoy your lunch at our restaurant on board while the vessel cruises toward Surprising Cave.

14:45: Explore the Surprising Cave – the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.

After that, we will take you to visit Titop Island – swimming, climbing up to the Top of the Island – take the best view of Ha Long Bay in the Summer time.

17:30-18:00: Back on board, you will participate in a Sunset Party & Cooking Class while the vessel cruises toward the shore. You can enjoy relaxing moments while sipping a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea or coffee on the sundeck amid wonderful scenery and beautiful sunset. Ha Long Bay is calm during the day, but when the sun goes down, the Bay becomes even more tranquil and peaceful.

You will be instructed to make delicious Fresh Spring rolls by our chef and then enjoy the rolls made on your own.

17:30-18:30: Happy hour – BUY 2 DRINK GET 1 FOR FREE (cocktails, mocktails…)

19:00-20:00: Enjoy your dinner on the Sundeck (if the weather is favorable)

After dinner, you will enjoy a peaceful view of the Bay at night on the deck. Enjoying music and some drinks at Sky Bar while admiring the breathtaking view of the Bay at night or squid fishing.

7:45 – 8:15: Get picked up at assigned point in Hanoi Old quarter

8:15 ~ 11:30: Follow the newest highway connecting Hanoi and Hai Phong.

Upon arrival at Station number 17 – OVERNIGHT CRUISE PORT, Tuan Chau Maria, Ha Long passengers will be welcomed by receptionist at La Casta’s waiting lounge.

11:30 – 12:00: After taking a rest, our high speed tender will transfer you to the main boat (Around 25 minutes).

Get onboard and warmly welcome from La Casta crew team with welcome drink.

After that, you will be given a short briefing about La Casta Cruise and safety guideline at our restaurant.

Complete the check-in procedure and check-into our suite cabins.

13:00: Enjoy a lunch in the restaurant. La Casta Cruise start to depart for the voyage to discover the Lan Ha Bay.

15:45: Visit the Ba Trai Dao area and the natural lagoon of Lan Ha Bay – this area includes the beach breaths a romantic atmosphere and three smaller islets like three giant peaches on the sea. You can join with our activities such as: kayaking, swimming, sightseeing and explore the Ba Trai Dao area.

(In unfavorable weather conditions, to ensure the safety of our guest, this destination would be change into Light cave- famous for the pristine natural beauty and poetic, attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. You can join with our activities such as: kayaking, sightseeing on the bamboo boat, … – This is the best time for you to enjoy bamboo boats or swimming which is an interesting activity to discover the truest beauty of the stunning limestone structure and the blue sky of Lan Ha Bay).

17:30 – 18:30: Come back to our La Casta cruise and enjoy the pre-dinner sunset party with Happy Hour Promotion (buy 2 get 1 free with some kinds of drinks) at the bar while watching the view of the bay at sunset.

18:00: Join a cooking demonstration, our chef will guide you how to make some simple signature Vietnamese dishes.

19:30: Enjoy special seafood and typical Vietnamese food on the cruise.

07:45-09:00: Kayaking to explore Luon Cave. If you are lucky, you can catch great photos of mischievous monkeys jigging up and down around the cliffs

Please put your luggage outside your cabin and leave the room key at the reception desk. Our staff will transfer your luggage to the waiting area.

10:00: Enjoy an early lunch at the restaurant on the 2nd floor and settle the bills if any.

11:00: Arrival at Tuan Chau Marina. Then you will have a short break time till the cruise shuttle transfer you back to Ha Noi.

15.00-15.30: You will reach Ha Noi old quarter.

6:15: Wake up early, join the Tai Chi session on sundeck area, enjoy the fresh atmosphere and see sunrise in Lan Ha Bay.

This is a one day tour that explores the most beautiful landscape of Ninh Binh. The tour starts from Hanoi at 07:30 am with a shuttle bus pick up at your hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter. After 2,5 hour transfer, you will arrive in Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century, where you will visit the historic land and the ancient temple of King Dinh & King Le. The afternoon itinerary is leisure time on a sampan boat rowed by locals to admire the Trang An natural landscape within 2 hours then conquer the peak of mountains in Mua Cave. From this point, you get the most panoramic view of Ninh Binh.

After breakfast, enjoy some time exploring Hanoi on your own before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang. On arrival, you’ll be picked up at Da Nang airport and transferred to your hotel in the charming coastal city of Hoi An.

Once a major port, it boasts the grand architecture and beguiling riverside setting that befits its heritage, and the 21st-century curses of traffic and pollution are almost entirely absent. Walking or Biking to discover Hoi An Town is a choice of this artistic jewel, with its century's old architecture, includes the gorgeous Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the 400-year-old bright-red Japanese Covered Bridge, and the Ancient House.

You will have the whole day free in Hoi An, discover the beautiful ancient town on your own.

In which you can choose to do one of our optional tours as below:

Optional tour: Hoi An cooking class tour.

Our guide takes you to visit Hoi An market to buy ingredients for the cooking class. You then ride to Tra Que village (a short 15 minutes cycle away.) You will be welcomed with a special local soft drink - “É” water or local tea. After your welcome, take a short walk around the vegetable garden to see local farmers at work.

Begin to learn how to cook local delicacies including: Banh xeo, “tam huu” spring roll, “Tra Que” spring roll…

After your cooking class, enjoy the foods cooked by yourself. By bicycle we return back to the hotel.

Night 7: Overnight in hotel in Hoi An

Day 8: Airport Transfer - Fly To Ho Chi Minh City - Transfer To Hotel (B)

Enjoy breakfast at hotel. You will have some free time until our driver transfer to airport to take flight to HCM. Arrive in HCM and check in hotel.

Ho Chi Minh - Vietnam’s largest economic center and cultural capital, Ho Chi Minh City boasts soaring skyscrapers that tower over charming French colonial structures and traditional pagodas from Saigon’s yesteryear. Past the bustling streets and dizzying traffic.

If you arrive in Ho Chi Minh early so you can have enough time to join Dinner cruise as an optional tour:

Get a preferred day and enjoy a River Saigon dinner-and-sightseeing cruise in Ho Chi Minh City. Then, when it's time, board a traditional or modern riverboat and admire the floodlit sights of Ho Chi Minh City—formerly called Saigon. Pass sights such as the Bitexco Tower, and with the illuminations as a backdrop, enjoy a 5-course Vietnamese dinner and traditional local music.

Day 9: Cu Chi Tunnel Tour (B)

07:30 – 07.50: Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving.

Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Return to hotel in Saigon around 14.00

The rest of the day is spent at your leisure.

Optional tour: Saigon by night and street food by motorbike

This is the real street-food tour of Saigon. You’ll strap on your helmet and hit the streets by motorbike, just like the locals do, scouting the city for truly fresh flavor. Stopping in some of the city’s most diverse districts, you’ll sit down to banh mi, bun bo, banh xeo, Vietnamese barbecue, and more. Those words might not mean much now, but your tastebuds will absolutely remember them.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Bus To Phnom Penh - Transfer To Hotel (B)

07:00-07:30: Get pick up from your hotel and get transfer to Phnom Penh by bus (8 hours). Upon arrival to Phnom Penh, get pick up and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is your free time to take a rest or exploring the city on your own arrangement.

Once known as the “Pearl of Asia”, Phnom Penh is a heaving crossroads of cultures, times, peoples and worlds. The city is on the edge of everything. With one foot still rooted in the past, which you can find in the temples, its grim past under the Khmer Rouge with the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields of Choeung Ek; markets and buzzing back streets, and another striding boldly into the future, which is pretty much all around you, this thriving, turbulent city brings together Cambodian, Chinese and French influences in a congested, grimy, shiny, vibrant and thrilling mash that somehow seems to work.

Today is the day you have free time at your leisure in Cambodia.

Optional tour: Killing Field tour

Visit the TuolSleng Prison Museum and the notorious 'Killing Fields' of ChoeungEk, which will give us a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge. Lunch at local restaurant. We will have time this afternoon to explore PsarToul Tom Pong, also called the “Russian Market", where anything and everything is for sales. Later this afternoon, we will take one hour boat cruise on the Mekong river.

Night 11: Overnight in Hotel in Phnom Penh

Day 12: Phnom Penh - Bus To Siem Reap - Transfer To Hotel (B)

07:30-08:00:Get pick up from your hotel for the bus ride to Siem Reap (6 hours).

Once reaching Siem Reap, get picked up and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free on your own.

We booked our 14 Day travelled June 2023. Nancy does an amazing job juggling everyone's needs especially as airlines continue to change flights at the last minute! Everything from our first pick up to the final drop off ran smoothly and the drivers and tour guides did an outstanding job. Everything was well organised o our 14 day tour of Vietnam. All of the pick ups at airports or hotels were on time and our tour leaders were excellent. The internal flights wnet like clockwork.We chose only 3 Star hotels but they were all very comfortable with everything that we needed ... large rooms, hot showers, air conditioning, good breakfasts and lifts.
