10 day trip travelling from the north to the south. Halong Bay, Hanoi, Hoian, Ho Chi Minh.We had a fantastic trip, Bella from Halong Bay Tours was awesome, moving things around at the last minute when weather necessitated some changes.When I left my phone in a transfer vehicle she was even able to get it back to me the next day, despite the fact that we had travelled 700+kms. She constantly answered my many questions before and during our trip.Less

Halong tours booking took all the hassle out of our trip. Everything ran so smoothly and we were picked up and dropped off at every stop without a hitch. We were offered upgrades and tweaks to our trip (a couple.of which we did) which was nice and we could really personalise it to suit us. Tracy organised our booking for us, and every detail was taken care of. We met her during our stay and I mentioned I was vegetarian. The day after, we left for our overnight cruise at halong bay. The crew already had the information noted and brought me a delicious vegetarian set menu. The communication and organisation was flawless. My only regret (and it's not necessarily the fault of halong tour booking) is upgrading the tour to a 4* package throughout the trip.In Hanoi, the 4* hotel (Flower Garden Hotel) is lovely, but it is quite a distance out of the old quarter, whilst the 3* one has a great location. In Sapa, the 4* hotel (Sapa legend) was the worst part of our trip. The hotel was disappointing and we actually preferred the 3* one when we visited it. It was a better location and friendlier staff. It felt like a few hundred dollars wasted and 3* would have been better. (I'm only writing this in case someone is reading this and is on the fence as to whether or not to upgrade... For me it just wasn't worth the extra cost). We would definitely use halong tours booking next time we visit Vietnam. It's such a relief to know every part of your trip has been taken care of, and Tracy was always very quick to reply to my emails.Less

The trip exceeded our expectations. In the planning stages, James from Halong Tours was attentive, informative and very helpful. He made valuable suggestions which enhanced our experience. In each city/town,we were met on time and with courtesy. All our guides were knowledgeable and friendly and the drivers were great (in circumstances that would have been very nerve wracking otherwise). miss Bella came and saw me at my hotel and she was so lovely and made me feel so welcome, all my emails to her were answered right away and the tour was so efficient , travelling on my own at 77 was a bit scary but need not have worried as all went smoothly and everyone in vietnam were so nice and i got looked after very well i also went to sapa and done the walks which were a bit hard but had a lot of help . sylviaLess

We booked a 10 day South to North Vietnam tour through Our Deal for 2 people. Well for the price I tried not to have the highest of expectations, however Halong Tours exceeded above and beyond. Ms Tracy Huong was our contact and she was wonderful in answering my many questions with patience and speed. We upgraded to flights form HCMC to Hoi-An rather than take on overnight 4 berth train with no air con. We booked some additional time ourselves in HCMC and Hanoi at the start and end of our tour, all pick ups were as promised, efficient and courteous, even when outside those hotels provided by the tour. Great tours included (Cu Chi Tunnels, Mekong Delta (this was not as good as others, still a good tour though) My Son, Halong Bay all with great guides imparting lots of additional knowledge. Hotel check in was smooth with good hotels, Helped with visa preparation, everything ran so smoothly. Do yourself a favour and book with them, then relax that everything will be taken care off, I know I will.Less

Just arrived home from our 10-day Vietnam tour my boyfriend and I booked on Grabone (NZ) with Halong Tours Booking. Despite being sceptical as I had difficulty finding the tour on Tripadvisor, there is not one bad thing I can say about this tour. As someone else has mentioned this is NOT a group tour. It's a trip that's booked for you by the company and includes hotels, airport transfers, transport and tours. For us this was perfect as it meant that before the trip we organised a few changes (eg we went South-North rather than North-South, we also took the plane instead of the night train and spent a couple of extra nights in Ho Chi Minh and an extra night in Hanoi). Tracy, who we were in contact with before the tour always replied within a day and it was never a problem to accommodate for the changes we wanted to make (I do recommend the plane instead of night train, as well as the extra nights, especially an extra night in Hoi An would have been nice). The day tours booked for us were all of a high quality.... ranging from bus tours to private tours with just the two of us, a driver and an English speaking guide. They all included lunch. The hotels were all fantastic and perfectly located. The airport transfers were all great, always on time, nice air conditioned cars, no issues.Everything was organised amazingly and with our added on days we had a perfect mix of free time and organised tours. I would recommend an extra day in Halong Bay if you have the time. (While we were in Halong Bay we decided we wanted to spend an extra night on the cruise and managed to get in contact with Halong Bay Tours. It was about 10 at night and they were super helpful and willing to help us organise the extra night so it was all stress-free. In the end the price would have been to high so we went back to Hanoi as originally planned, but it was just an example of how helpful they were). All in all I cannot recommend this tour enough. It's not for you if you want a bus-tour type trip, but if you don't know much about Vietnam and want a cheap trip where the main attractions are all planned for you I say go for it, and enjoy.Less
